The tickets were given to me. The opinions expressed are my own.

Sunday was the world premiere of “The Adult in the Room” in Chicago. It is a play written by Bill McMahon and directed by Heather Arnson, and Conor Bagley. I attended the world premiere of the show over the weekend in Chicago. Orlagh Cassidy gives an outstanding performance as the first female Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. “The Adult in the room,” provides a glimpse into how a housewife and mother of five became a leading politician in the United States of America.

The one-woman show is funny, engaging, thought-provoking, and you will leave the theatre wanting to read as much as you can find out about Nancy Pelosi. Cassidy’s portrayal of Pelosi is phenomenal. You will learn how Madam Speaker Pelosi is able to stay calm and deal with the daily stress while working with the Republicans and Democratic parties. From the outside, it looks like she is the only “Adult in the Room.” The script was sent to Pelosi to guarantee there isn’t any fake news.
