DeSoto State Park in Alabama

DeSoto Falls

The 107-foot waterfall is at DeSoto State Park on Lookout Mountain.  The falls are one of the tallest and most visited waterfalls in Alabama and named after the Spanish explorer Hernando De Soto. Many people come to enjoy the lake, picnics, and hiking.

Little River Canyon

Ten miles south of DeSoto State Park, is Little River Falls in Little River Canyon National Preserve?  It is slightly smaller at 45-feet.  Both have spectacular views surrounded by trees, plants, flowers, and wildlife.

Falls

There are several smaller falls located in DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon National Preserve.  This concludes our visit to DeKalb County Lookout Mountain.  As you can see, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
